Description
Taraxacum officinale, commonly known as the dandelion, is a perennial flowering plant native to Europe, Asia and North America. Despite its reputation as a garden weed, dandelion root is one of the most nutritionally rich plants in herbal medicine. The root is exceptionally rich in antioxidants, vitamins A, C, D, K and B complex, as well as potassium, magnesium, zinc and iron. It also contains a soluble fibre called inulin. Dandelion root has traditionally been associated with supporting detoxification, healthy liver and kidney function, healthy joints and a healthy immune system
